Chuan: Samak s decision has no impact on politics
(BangkokPost.com) - Samak Sundaravej s decision to step aside after an embarrassing no-vote on Friday would not bring any changes to the political arena, Democrat chief adviser Chuan Leekpai said Saturday. The 70-year-old former prime minister said the decision of Mr Samak is an internal matter of the government, and that it would not have any impact on the politics because he still serves as a member of the parliament. The Democrats are the only opposition party. He refused to comment on reports that People Power party (PPP) will back one of the three candidates with the initial S as a prime minister, saying that the government has the right to come up with any decision. They are said to be caretaker prime minister Somchai Wongsawat, caretaker deputy prime minister Surapong Suebwonglee and caretaker justice minister Sompong Amornwiwat.Back...I remember the previous election won by PPP. PPP have invited Democrat to rule along with them. It was rejected. Democrats are hypocrite for rejecting then and now wanted to takeover the PM place. If they join hands and be the Government....I think Thailand politics will not be like that now. So called Democrat for all people.Think politics here is ridiculous and out of this world. God bless Thailand.
